The Asus QG-U1050 switch has 5 Ethernet ports with speeds of up to 2.5 Gbps and operates without configuration, with plug-and-play connectivity. It uses CAT5e cables for 2.5 Gbps connections, while its ports also support older Ethernet standards. The four DIP switch-selected modes include traffic prioritization, Energy Efficient Ethernet, port isolation, and Static Trunk.

Its desktop design is fanless and operates silently. LED indicators show the power status and port activity. It can connect devices such as Wi-Fi 6/7 access points, NAS devices, gaming computers, and 4K media players.
