The DEWALT Extreme DT5563 drill bit with a straight shank is made from HSS-G and designed for drilling alloy and non-alloy steel with a tensile strength of up to 900 N/mm², as well as sheet metal, thin-walled profiles, wood and plastic. The no-walk tip makes it easier to start drilling, even on curved surfaces.

Its one-piece construction and tapered web increase break resistance, while the recessed cutting lips help create clean, burr-free holes. The gold-coloured iron oxide coating helps prevent overheating. For diameters of 5 mm and above, the shank’s three flat sides help prevent slipping in the chuck.
