In Tea Garden, you take on the role of the owner of one of the tea plantations in the Yunnan province of China. Your goal is to cultivate and expand your empire by creating new tea plantations along the serene river valley and increase the value of your products.

Tea cultivation and processing

Tea leaves are your most valuable asset, with six qualities depending on the production region. After harvesting, the fresh green leaves are transformed through fermentation into brown, aromatic leaves, increasing both their quality and value.

Use of cards and actions

During each round, you use your deck to perform up to four main actions:

  • Building new tea estates

  • Acquiring new cards

  • Trading tea with caravans

  • Fermenting tea leaves

  • Harvesting more tea

The power of each card determines how effective your action will be.

Secondary actions and strategy

You can also combine the main actions with secondary actions, such as:

  • Navigating the river

  • Producing tea cups

  • Studying tea at the university

The clever combination of main and secondary actions allows you to maximize the production, quality, and value of your tea, building a truly developed tea empire.
