The Heller Volontaire + Marie Jeanne Twinset is in 1:200 scale and depicts two traditional trawlers. The Volontaire was built by Anciens Chantiers Dubigeon in Nantes, launched in February 1950, and based in Saint-Malo, Brittany. The Marie Jeanne was her sister ship, based in Concarneau.
The Volontaire was equipped with a 1,100 hp BW (Burmeister and Wain) diesel engine. It was originally designed for fishing from both sides, but the port-side trawl gallows was later removed. She was decommissioned in the early 1970s and broken up in Bilbao in March 1973.
