Yaesu FTX-1 Optima
The FTX-1 Optima is a transceiver compatible with HF/50/144/430 MHz, offering broadband receive coverage from 30 kHz to 174 MHz and from 400 MHz to 470 MHz. The transceiver supports various modes, such as SWL, FM radio, and Air-Band.
The device features a detachable 100W RF power amplifier (SPA-1) for base station use and comes with a 6400 mAh Li-ion battery SBR-52LI for portable operation. With the battery installed, it provides 6W (5W in QRP mode) on HF through V/UHF bands in all modes SSB, CW, AM, FM, and digital C4FM. The battery life is up to 9 hours at 6W on the HF bands and up to 8 hours on the V/UHF bands.
With an external 13.8V DC power supply, it delivers up to 10W output power. Connecting the SPA-1 requires a tool-free connection, converting the FTX-1 into a 100W base station.
