The SmallRig metal frame for the DJI Osmo Action 6 fully encloses the camera while maintaining access to its buttons and ports. Multiple expansion points include a cold shoe for lights or microphones, such as the DJI Mic 2 and SmallRig Video Light. The side magnetic quick-release mounts are compatible with DJI’s original Dual-Direction Quick-Release Mount and SmallRig’s Dual-Mount Quick Release mounts, making it easy to switch between landscape and portrait orientation.

The battery compartment remains accessible from the side without removing the frame. The side strap hole fits the included wrist strap, while the silicone lens protector helps prevent scratches when the lens is not in use. The detachable quick-release mount can be removed using the included Allen key without affecting the frame or the camera’s magnetic quick-release system.
