The game is based on the so-called "Stroop effect," which was discovered by the American psychologist John Ridley Stroop in 1935. Participants are asked to say aloud the color of the ink used to write the words, while ignoring the meaning of the words themselves. For example, if the word "BLUE" appears, the correct answer would be "green." The Stroop effect has shown that this process becomes much more difficult when the information is conflicting. This fun board game is based on this effect.
