The Discovery Femto Polar digital microscope combines biological and polarized-light observation with a 3 Mpx digital camera for capturing photos and videos of specimens. The monocular head features a display, is inclined at 45°, and rotates 360° horizontally. Its achromatic optics include a 40x objective lens.
The dual LED illumination has adjustable brightness and is powered by an AC adapter or batteries. Focus can be adjusted coarsely or precisely, while the diaphragm disc controls the light intensity of the lower illuminator. The camera connects to a computer via USB and supports 2048x1536-resolution photos and video recording. The package includes the full-color book “The Invisible World,” with 88 pages about microscopy, microorganisms, and experiments.
