The Levenhuk 500M laboratory microscope is suitable for histology and other research requiring sample staining. It features halogen illumination that produces bright colors and high contrast in observed images.

The monocular head has a 45° tilt and rotates 360°. The optical design includes a wide-field eyepiece with 10x power and achromatic objective lenses of 4x, 10x, and 40x, with the latter protected by a spring-loaded frame. Magnification ranges from 40x to 400x, suitable for studying large and medium-sized structures.

The microscope's stage includes clips for holding samples and a coarse/fine focus knob. Under the stage is the halogen light with collector and the condenser with an iris diaphragm and filter holder. The illumination is adjustable, and power is supplied from the outlet.
