Description
Flexibility meets mastery.
Equipped with a 25.2MP BSI CMOS sensor with PDAF, internal ProRes RAW HQ recording, and the world's only 32-bit float recording, the flagship LUMIX hybrid cameras allow you to produce high-quality and high-performance content with minimal settings.
Improved content quality
The hybrid phase-detection autofocus of the LUMIX GH7 steadily tracks subjects, capturing them quickly and accurately.
Efficient Data Flow
Internal ProRes RAW HQ recording and 32-bit float recording* can be performed within the camera body itself, enabling the production of high-quality and high-performance content with minimal settings.
*Optional DMW-XLR2 required.
Excellent reliability
Combines a compact body with a heat dissipation structure, allowing for extended recording even when capturing large files (4:2:2 10-bit C4K/4K 60p/50p, ProRes RAW HQ).
Phase Hybrid Autofocus
The most important aspect of autofocus is reliability. In addition to contrast autofocus, the LUMIX GH7 offers the Phase Detection autofocus system, which significantly improves subject tracking performance and metering technologies. The camera can capture the subject even in challenging scenes involving multiple subjects, providing accuracy even in backlit or low-light environments.
High-Quality Content Creation
The LUMIX GH7 incorporates an entirely new image sensor. The new 25.2-megapixel BSI CMOS sensor offers fuller tonal performance and improved AF performance through Phase Detection AF, contributing to the production of high-quality content.
Richer expression of tones
The Dynamic Range Boost function captures two types of images with a single exposure and combines them in real-time to create composite images with a rich range of tones, even in scenes with significant brightness differences. In photos, it allows for richer shadow tone expression in RAW data. In videos, it enables V-Log/V-Gamut 13+-stop recording.* It achieves a wide dynamic range across all ISO sensitivity areas.
Internal ProRes RAW HQ Recording
5.7K 30p ProRes RAW HQ footage can be recorded directly onto the camera body, giving you the freedom to capture the unique moment with the press of a button, with minimal settings and without the need for external devices. Improved gimbal compatibility also broadens the range of shooting possibilities for you to express yourself freely.
The world's first 32-bit float recording
In combination with the DMW-XLR2 (sold separately), the LUMIX GH7 offers the world's first 32-bit float recording*, enhancing the quality and efficiency of the entire workflow. With its wide dynamic range, the 32-bit float format captures more information, from low to loud sounds, eliminating the need for tedious adjustments of the sound level during audio recording.
ARRI LogC3 Recording
With the use of the DMW-SFU3A software upgrade key (sold separately), users can utilize ARRI LogC3*, which allows for color matching with ARRI's digital video cameras. The image processing of the ARRI LogC3 curve in the LUMIX GH7 has been certified by ARRI for the implementation of this function. The options for Log recording, which provides rich color information and a wide dynamic range, have been expanded to include ARRI LogC3 in addition to the conventional V-Log, further enhancing the workflow compatibility of LUMIX.
Unlimited 4:2:2 10-bit C4K/4K 60p/50p video recording time
The LUMIX GH7 offers internal recording 4:2:2 10-bit C4K/4K 60p/50p and ensures unlimited recording time when used at the recommended operating temperature. Ideal for small production teams and in demanding conditions where flexibility and high quality are essential. It also allows simultaneous internal and external recording via the HDMI output.
Integration of the camera with Adobe's Frame.io in the cloud
With Frame.io Camera to Cloud, the creator's images and videos are automatically uploaded, backed up, shared, and collaboratively edited through the cloud.
Wireless/Wired Live Streaming
Choose your favorite streaming method to share your latest news in real-time! For outdoor use, wireless live streaming (RTMP/RTMPS) is easily set up with the LUMIX Sync app. For indoor use, highly stable wired live streaming (RTP/RTSP) is also available.
REAL TIME LUT
LUTs can be applied to photos and videos directly on the camera body, allowing you to create photos and videos straight from the camera. It supports the file formats ".VLT" and ".CUBE". By utilizing this feature, you can save time from the complex post-processing procedure. In combination with the LUMIX Lab application, you can easily create your own LUTs and install them on the camera.
LUMIX Lab App
Connect the camera to your smartphone in three steps and transfer content seamlessly with the ultra-fast Wi-Fi connection. You can also crop, adjust brightness, apply LUTs, etc., allowing for instant and simple editing for any social media platform.
