The Vixen ATERA II ED H16×50WP binoculars combine 16x magnification with ED lenses and image stabilization for handheld viewing. The two-axis gimbal-controlled stabilization system compensates for vibrations of up to ±2 degrees and offers two modes: V1 for small movements and V2 for slow, larger movements. The extra-low dispersion ED lenses help deliver a sharp image with minimal chromatic aberration.

The lenses have multilayer anti-reflective coatings, while the prisms feature phase-correction and high-reflectivity coatings. A hydrophobic coating on the objective lenses and eyepieces helps prevent dirt from sticking and makes cleaning easier. The binoculars are waterproof and nitrogen-filled for indoor and outdoor use.
