The EQ-AL55i mount is equipped with a two-position adjustable counterweight rod, allowing it to be used at all latitudes from 0° to 90°, avoiding issues that arise with other mounts at extreme polar heights. It is suitable for travel.

The mount can be fully controlled via smartphone through the built-in WLAN unit and the free SynScan Pro app, available for iOS and Android. It features a illuminated polar telescope for precise alignment with the celestial pole.

It includes USB-C connections, an automatic guider, and an optional SynScan controller. It also has a mount for activating a DSLR camera.
