The system includes an egg-crate type air mattress and an alternating pressure pump that adjusts the pressure based on the patient's weight. It is suitable for patients up to 130 kg.

Pressure ulcers are skin wounds that occur from maintaining the body in a static position for an extended period. The skin surface is subjected to continuous pressures, resulting in decreased blood flow to the affected area, leading to tissue necrosis. Pressure ulcers can develop in immobilized patients, such as those in a wheelchair or bed.

The alternating pressure system re-contacts the skin, providing a gentle massage that improves blood circulation and oxygen supply to the tissues. The installation and maintenance of the system are easy, and it operates very quietly.
