Seed: Solanum lycopersicum l.
Curly climbing tomato. The fruits are large, slightly flattened with grooves and a sweet taste.
The tomato (scientifically: Strychnon the lycopersicum, Solanum lycopersicum) is a plant of the Solanaceae family, native to Central and South America. It is usually cultivated as an annual plant and can reach up to 3 meters in height.
The leaves are 10-25 cm long, compound and consist of 5-9 smaller leaflets up to 8 cm long. The flowers are yellow, 1-2 cm in diameter, and grow in clusters of 3-12.
The fruit is spherical or elongated, edible and juicy when ripe, with an intense red color due to the pigment lycopene. The tomato is ideal for salads and is a key ingredient in Greek village salad.
Germination/cultivation instructions for the Curly Tomato are included.
