Oregano is a perennial, bushy plant that thrives mainly in Europe and the Middle East. It has green leaves and white flowers and grows to a height of 30-80 cm. It can be cultivated in coastal or mountainous areas with a temperate or arid climate.

Oregano is mainly used as a herb in cooking. Its dried leaves and flowers are used to make infusions. It is diuretic, facilitates digestion, and tones the nervous system.
