I got it for my grandmother (70+) based on the criteria:
    a) the large buttons, and
    b) the fact that the green and red buttons are single-function (on many phones they are dual-function, depending on which end you press, something an elderly person cannot manage).

    Now for the negatives:
    - The Greek font is extremely coarse with wide letters and quite a few (not all) of them are bold. As a result, the small screen fills up quickly and you have to wait for the text to scroll to see what it says. In the English setting, the letters are fine.

    - The translation is pretty lousy (from what I saw). For example, on the date/time/day shown on the home screen, Sunday, which in English is Sun, in Greek they translated as "Ήλιος" (Sun).

    - Messages will be difficult for an elderly person to see, mainly due to the small screen, the coarse letters, and the multiple actions required.

    Other observations:

    - A "no lock" setting for the phone would be useful so the elderly person doesn't have to unlock it every time. The orange button on the side is for unlocking the keyboard and you have to move it up and down. It would be much more practical to have an automatic lock setting that, when off, locks with the orange button up and unlocks down.

    - When you dial a number or select a number from the contacts, you have to press the green button twice to make a call. The first press brings up a menu with options for what you want to do with the number, where the first (and default) is to call it. It's not a bad thing, as it helps avoid accidental calls.

    - Satisfactory call volume. Ringtone volume... grandma found the default a bit weak, so I set a different ringtone that's much louder.

    - The contacts list could be clearer. Adding numbers seemed cumbersome at first. Fortunately, the numbers I wanted were already on the SIM.

    - Requires a full-size SIM (!!!!). I had the medium size (from the previous device) and centered it by eye in the SIM slot so the contacts would touch. Ideally, you need a large SIM.

I don't understand why there isn't a phone for the elderly with large buttons AND a large screen. Or an Android phone that simulates a large keypad and also has a large screen.
