In ancient times before the Void, the Formians were in constant conflict between their various colonies. These civil wars ended with the Meeting of the Queens, where the leaders of several major colonies agreed to cooperate under the concept of the Overqueen, the supreme authority of the Formian race. The newly established colonies then directed their conflicts against the Lasunts on Asana, in a series of wars that lasted millennia, until the Shirren mediated a peace treaty between the two sides in 287 AG, an event considered essential for the creation of the Pact Worlds government in 291 AG. After the completion of the war, the Formians began to industrialize their society, adopting technology from other species.
