The delay in the publication of the 3rd Album featuring works by members of the Dentists, Writers, and Artists Club is solely due to the conditions created by the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic.
This is also the reason for the recent slowdown in the activities of our Club over the past two years.
Our current endeavor to publish the 3rd Album aims, as an urgent matter, to highlight the need to claim the obvious—that, just like in other fields of social production, in the arts too, things are not equalized.
Emphasizing the difference and the unique is what sets apart the beautiful from the aesthetically pleasing, the great from the mediocre or insignificant.
This publication, in its effort to underline the difference, is supported by the participation of 33 colleagues, members of our Club, who wholeheartedly present their works across all genres of literature (poetry, prose) and visual arts (painting, sculpture, photography, jewelry, crafts, collage).
Through this heartfelt endeavor, we stay alert and respond positively to the next stimulus that comes our way. Of course, some situations are long-term, but then our emotional responses must also be long-term if we want to experience our feelings as messages similar to sounds, scents, and tastes.
I hope that colleagues, and not only them, will find our new publication interesting, and that it will set sail well, following the course of the previous two volumes.
