The use of powdered sugar from stores is not recommended, as it is grainy and changes the texture of the fondant, which is made from very fine sugar.

Fondant for cake covering spreads up to 2.5 mm. If the fondant has been left exposed on the work surface for a longer time and has become drier, there is no need to panic! The easiest way to restore its former flexibility is to add a little syrup made from one tablespoon of sugar and one tablespoon of boiled water. Slightly wet your hands and knead the fondant again until it becomes elastic and workable. Avoid using fats, as they disrupt the elasticity of the fondant.
