Initially, the accuracy of the measurement is the first thing that impresses you. It's not one of those gadgets that show constant values and don't react to anything. If you light a cigarette, cook something that produces even a little smoke, or simply open the window and dust comes in, the AirGuard detects it immediately. The response speed is its big advantage. You see the numbers for PM2.5 and PM10 rise in real time, which gives you a very clear picture of what exactly is happening around you at that moment.

Another big advantage is its compatibility with the Matter protocol, which means that connecting it to your entire smart home ecosystem is seamless and extremely stable. Because I don't like relying on ready-made, limited apps, I've fully integrated it into Home Assistant. You can pull all the data locally and set up your own advanced automations that don't make mistakes. Personally, I've connected it to my home's air purifier: as soon as the sensor detects that PM2.5 levels exceed a limit I've set, it sends a command to the purifier to run at 100% until the air is clean, and as soon as the pollutants drop, it automatically switches it to silent mode. It's so stable in its operation that I've never had to deal with it again after setting it up. It doesn't freeze, it doesn't lose connection, and you have the ultimate "set it and forget it" system.

In conclusion, if you're looking for something to "see" what you're breathing and take control of the situation, don't waste your money on cheap solutions. The AirGuard is worth every euro, it's honest, it does exactly what it promises, and it does it in a way that never gives you trouble. For anyone who wants peace of mind and to know that their environment is being properly monitored, it's the number one choice without a second thought.

I received it the next day. The quality seems good. It connected easily with eWeLink, Google Home, and HomeAssistant. It has a 2m USB-C cable.

The temperature and humidity readings were initially very "off," but after about 8 hours of operation, they started showing values consistent with other sensors. The PM2.5 and PM10 readings remained stuck at 0. After monitoring and recording through HomeAssistant, there was a slight increase around midnight. Ultimately, inside a house, outside the city center, the readings may be so low that they are not recorded. To make sure the device works, light a candle and blow it out so that it produces some smoke. Place the device over the smoke and it should show a reading in a few seconds. You should also hear the audible alarm.

These devices typically have a small fan that blows air onto the sensors. It is not audible at all, unless you put the device to your ear. At this price, I would expect it to have TVOC or even CO2 detection, but it does not. Full functionality and features are only available through the eWeLink app. The screen has no backlight and shows the instantaneous values, temperature, humidity, Wi-Fi connection, activation of the sound signal, but only one of the PM values at a time. To see the other, you need to press a total of 6 times on 2 buttons and the same again to reset it...
