Advanced optical design: The Askar 140APO uses a triple APO with an air spaced element and an ED glass element to correct chromatic aberration, ensuring superior image quality and accurate colors. The combination of multiple optical elements effectively reduces chromatic aberration.

Portability and construction: The telescope is designed to be portable, with a minimum length of 735 mm and a net weight of 9.2 kg. The moisture-resistant casing is foldable and features expanded locking screws.

Focuser and rotator: The Askar 140APO features a 3.5" dual-speed focuser with a gear and pinion, compatible with most focusing motors. It has a 100 mm travel with a high-precision scale, and the rear rotating mechanism allows precise adjustments in viewing angle.

Compatibility and optional accessories: The telescope is compatible with most equatorial mounts thanks to the 300 mm Losmandy dovetail plate. Optional accessories include:

• A 1x field flattener, which maintains the f/7 focal ratio and corrects field curvature.
• A 0.8x reducer, which reduces the focal ratio to f/5.6, increasing the optical field of view.
