The Osprey Hikelite LT 16 hiking backpack combines the AirSpeed suspension system, featuring breathable mesh and a LightWire frame, to promote airflow and keep the load stable. The contoured, ventilated shoulder straps have stabilizer straps, while the adjustable sternum strap includes a safety whistle. The waist belt has a strap and padded side panels.

The main compartment is accessed from the top through a zipper and wide opening. The backpack features tall stretch side pockets, an external vertical zippered pocket with a key clip, and an internal hydration reservoir sleeve with a hose port and Hydraclip attachment point. The integrated rain cover is stored in a pocket at the base, while the front has an attachment point for a light, which is not included. It is made from recycled nylon with a PFAS-free DWR water-repellent treatment, while the back panel and strap mesh is made from recycled polyester.
