Mapei Mapesil AC silicone is an acetoxy-cure sealant for joints in glass, ceramic tiles and anodised aluminium. With Primer FD, it can also be used on concrete, wood, metal, painted surfaces, plastic and rubber. It is suitable for expansion joints with movement of up to ±25% of the original size, in accordance with EN 15651.
It is used to seal joints in walls and floors, around sinks and sanitary fixtures, in swimming pools, window and door frames, ventilation and water ducts, as well as in tanks, pipes and boilers. It can also be used for flexible gaskets between building elements and to assemble designs using glass mosaics or stained glass.
