Ace Pro 2: It includes the camera, instructions/documents/stickers, charging cable with wraps, silicone ring for the main lens, waterproof microphone guard (the regular one is already attached to the camera), 2 batteries (one in the camera), and the basic GoPro-type mount. The mount is magnetic with clips, and on top it has instructions for correct installation. The batteries support fast charging; in fact, with a Xiaomi 120W charger and cable, they charged to 85% in 20 minutes and to 100% in about 45 minutes. The mic guard already on the camera does an excellent job when walking or riding a bike casually and there is not much wind or only a light breeze. In strong wind or inside a car with the windows open and driving at 80 km/h, I had to tweak the settings to eliminate outside noise. I only used the USB-C cable to transfer files from the camera to the PC and it was a quick process; I have not tried charging with it yet. It comes with two Velcro wraps so you can bundle it easily. The camera with the basic lens guard, microSD and battery weighs 178 g and measures 72*38*52.2 mm. It has a front screen that shows the basic settings and you can disable it (as well as the various LEDs), plus the main 2.5" rear screen that rotates 180°, ideal for selfies or taking photos and videos from lower angles. It features a 1/1.3" 8K sensor and a Leica Summarit 13mm f/2.6 lens which, combined with the AI chip it has, deliver excellent results in almost every condition, even in night shots, especially with Purevideo mode enabled. In the menu it allows EV, ISO and White Balance adjustments if you do not want to stay on auto, has settings for portraits, built-in Leica color profiles and "film looks", can record up to 8K 30fps video with 4K 60fps being the sweet spot, and has Active HDR. Many options are disabled depending on the mode and recording choices. You also have the option to shoot in a flat color profile and then adjust the colors in another app. Because the sensor is large, they added clarity zoom which solves the problems of digital zoom, but do not expect amazing zoom as if it were optical. After using it for 4 months, I can say I am very satisfied. In photos, I have fallen in love with the Leica Vibrant and Urban look. I more often shoot in manual mode, but it also performs very well in auto. I should emphasize that if someone wants it for photos, since the marketing presents it as a mirrorless killer, they will be disappointed. It is very good for photos, but you will have a fixed aperture and fixed lenses. It brings the advantages of action cams together with results that are perhaps like those of a compact camera. I also liked that in water it handled colors very well. Note: without a case, the camera goes down to 12 m depth and requires you to replace the mic guard with the waterproof one. With the case it goes down to 60 m, but only with the use of the basic lens. You can also adjust the field of view either from the camera or later through the app. So far I have recorded 48 minutes of continuous 4K 30fps video, with noticeably increased temperature but without any problem, and it still had over 30% battery left. It does not have built-in memory; with a 256GB card you will be more than covered for vacations (if you shoot in 8K, of course, 5 minutes at 30fps is about 4.5 GB). Finally, the image stabilization so far has been excellent; I always keep it on medium.

Lenses/filters: It includes 3 lenses. Each one comes in its own box, with instructions, a cleaning cloth, a tool for removing and installing the lens, and thick silicone cases where the caps can stay permanently on the lens when you mount it on the camera. The Ultra Wide gives a field of view of up to 189 degrees and is ideal both for vlogs and as an everyday lens; it will make the image larger but you will have some distortion at the edges. The Close-Up lens will allow you to get closer to your subject, solving the blurry-subject problem that action cams generally have. It has a ring that allows adjustment from 10 to 75 centimeters, but unfortunately without any other markings so you know at what distance you are. In the menu you can enable it to mark the focus points on the screen.
The cinematic lens is presented by some as aspherical, but it is not; it simply gives that characteristic streak of light glow. When you select it, keep in mind that some settings are disabled, but it gives that 2.35:1 cinematic ratio (with black bars top and bottom). Personally, during Easter I enjoyed using it because of its special behavior with light, and because that aspect ratio allowed me to make beautiful reveals of the places I was in.

And 2 filters. These only fit over the basic lens guard, after removing the silicone ring on it. Make sure they fit properly. Each one comes with a carrying case and cloth. The black mist softens colors and highlights and gives a more dreamy look as well as a gentle glow around lights. It gave me the same result as the K&F Black Mist 1/4 that I sometimes use on my Nikon. If it helps, it will remind you a bit of a film look depending on the lighting conditions. The star filter gives that characteristic star-like look on lights, which personally I only liked for night photography and especially for portraits when the lights were behind the subject.
When changing filters and lenses, remember to make the corresponding selection in the camera menu.

The screen hood, which comes with a screen cleaning and installation kit, is divided into an adhesive frame that goes on the screen and the cover attaches to it magnetically and opens simply by pulling upward. When you rotate the screen 180 degrees, you can flip it upside down as well. It protects the screen and at the same time, if you are outside in strong sunlight, it helps you see the screen clearly.
Finally, it includes the Xplorer Pro Grip, which comes with a shutter button that you screw on, a cover for the 3.5mm microphone port, a convenient wrist strap, and a built-in 2010mAh battery allowing continuous charging of the AP2 until it runs out. It has a built-in cover for the USB-C port for charging it, a slot for an extra micro SD, a lever under the shutter button that allows zoom, a dial on the back that you can set to change ISO or film sims, a cold shoe on top for mounting a microphone, light or the new flash/fill light, two points for attaching the strap, and a quick release point compatible with the corresponding mounts for the camera. Made of aluminum and hard quality plastic, it has silicone on the grip and provides excellent grip.

If it helps anyone, a friend of mine who wanted it just for vacations and trips with his kids got the camera and invested in having 3 batteries, the mini tripod with the remote, an aftermarket cage with grip and only the cinematic lens and a Hollyland m2 mic kit.

I use it with a pocket printer, GPS preview remote, mic pro, mic air, all without issues.

one of the best cameras on the market. I was between this and the Osmo Action 5 pro. Osmo won me over and I'll tell you why...

First, let me say that before I made the purchase, I had the Ace pro 2 in my hands, which a friend lent me for 2 weeks and I used it quite a bit.

WHERE THE OSMO 5 EXCELS - WHAT I WOULD LIKE THE ACE PRO 2 TO HAVE.

1) The Osmo has front and back OLED screens and every time you want to take a quick selfie photo you don't need to open and close the foldable back screen. In fact, even from the small front one, you can operate the menu.
2) The Osmo is much smaller in size, and looks higher quality in plastics and construction, without meaning that the Ace pro 2 isn't good. You just feel it lighter, more hollow.
3) The Osmo's battery is bigger. It lasts more hours, charges quickly, makes life easier.
4) It has 47GB of internal memory, which is very important.
5) It shoots 10bit colors while the Ace pro 2 shoots in 8Bit.
6) Much lower purchase cost than the Ace Pro 2. I don't understand why it's such an expensive camera. It in no way justifies the price difference it has from the Osmo 5 pro which is better.
7) Better feeling shutter button, it's easy to press, while on the Ace pro 2 it needs force. The opposite happens with the camera's power button.

WHERE THE ACE PRO 2 EXCELS

1) The Ace pro 2's screen, being foldable, helps you shoot low angles without having to bend your head all the way down to see what you're shooting.
2) It shoots 8K resolution, which is insignificant or I would say unnecessary for the needs of most users.
3) It has a detachable cover for wind noise reduction.
4) You can press Pause while recording a video. Maybe the only thing I envy and the Osmo doesn't have.
5) You can apply image filter effects through the camera. Insignificant, but convenient for those who don't know or don't want to deal with video editing on a program either on the phone or PC.
6) It shoots slightly brighter videos at night than the Osmo 5.

The conclusions are yours. I think it depends on everyone's needs which camera suits them. But for me, both are top with a difference, it's just the price difference that makes the Ace pro 2 lose points.
If you get both in your hands, you'll understand that the Ace pro 2 is not worth its money when it has the Osmo against it.

I bought it to replace the first-generation Insta360 Ace Pro, which left me very satisfied, and while the camera is improved compared to its predecessor, I ultimately had to get rid of it because Insta360's service is laughable and pitiful.
In terms of dimensions, it is exactly the same as the Ace Pro 1.
The external differences are mainly as follows:
1) The front microphone, where now there is an option for either a plastic waterproof protective cover for use in water or a windslayer that significantly reduces wind noise.
2) The screen, which is now slightly larger in size and offers much better resolution.
3) The lens protector, which is now removable and not glued on like in the Ace Pro 1. So if it gets damaged, you can replace it very easily.
However, here comes its first negative, since now there is a chance the camera will show condensation during use, and this is why the newer batches come with a small rubber ring that "seals" the gap between the camera body and the lens protector, but it comes off quite easily. Fortunately, the package includes a second one as a spare, but keep in mind that most Insta360 models have condensation issues.
In terms of image and sound quality, the differences compared to the Ace Pro are notable only in the following:
1) Wider field of view. The Ace Pro 2 records a wider field than the Ace Pro 1. This means you can capture a larger part of a landscape or the background behind you. I would say that in terms of field of view and fisheye effect, it is somewhere between DJI and GoPro.
2) Cleaner videos in low light. Videos in low light show less noise and more detail than the Ace Pro 1, which already had excellent performance in this area. However, the colors are excessively warmer and the lights look blurrier, with a "halo" around them.
3) The sound is clearer than the Ace Pro 1 and the external protector helps a lot, but I think it still has a long way to go to reach DJI quality.
4) It takes better photos and its zoom is much higher quality than the Ace Pro 1.
On the technical side, it has an improved sensor, which remains the same size as the Ace Pro 1, very good stabilization, longer battery life, and is easier to use as a dashcam.
Otherwise, we're talking about a camera with very good video performance up to 8K, although if you choose the highest resolution you will notice a lot of cropping.
These improvements, however, although noticeable compared to what we are used to from GoPro and DJI's annual models, do not make it a camera you absolutely must get. If you have the AcePro 1, it's better to wait for the 2025 model (Ace Pro 3?). I only wish I had listened to my own advice...
Overall, it was a model with quite a few manufacturing problems, the most important, as I mentioned above, being the fact that it showed condensation and required an external rubber ring around the lens.
Mine, however, had another equally serious problem: a crooked lens, resulting in the videos coming out quite skewed and I couldn't fix them either through Insta360's software or through DaVinci. I contacted the company and after 1 month of daily communication, with wetransfer being on fire since they kept asking me for videos in various settings to "verify" the problem, I was forced to argue with them and make them send me a ticket so I could send it in for inspection, but they threatened me that if they determined there was no problem, I would have to "compensate" them in order to get it back. So here arose a matter of trust and I decided to get rid of it. I should note here that I have had interactions with the customer service of both GoPro and DJI and the results were as follows:
1) GoPro Hero 10: the video had a barely noticeable shake on turns and after 1.5 years of use (GoPro gives a 1-year warranty), I sent a message to GoPro and said that it might have a problem with the gyroscope. Their response: within 2 hours, a return ticket and within 2 days a message with a tracking code for the refurbished replacement camera! They didn't hassle me for a month, didn't threaten me, nor did they wait for the camera to arrive. And all this while the camera was out of warranty because I had it for 1.5 years.
2) DJI Osmo Pocket 3: the camera showed condensation and the gimbal behaved strangely if you turned it off and on without removing the wide-angle lens. Within 15 minutes, and just upon mentioning the condensation, they had sent the return ticket. I told them that Christmas was approaching and I needed it urgently for a trip and they promised to do everything they could so I could receive the new one as soon as possible. The camera arrived at their offices in about a week, they immediately sent me the tracking code and DHL delivered the replacement camera 1 day earlier than expected. When I opened the box, I found that it was not refurbished, but brand new, sealed, with all its accessories!
Will I choose an Insta360 camera again? Yes, because they serve me well in terms of features and I have already ordered the Go3S, but instead of letting it sit for 20 days before I use it properly for the first time, I will do very strict checks within the 14-day return window, so I can send it back as soon as I notice something, to save my money. Also, after my experience with their customer service, I will keep an eye on the newer GoPro and DJI models, mainly because they have better customer service.

It is the Ace 2 Pro from Insta360, with a built-in processor with AI capabilities and a camera sensor from Leica, which delivers very good results even in low light conditions.
It comes with 2 batteries, a quick release mounting base, a lens protector, a windscreen for the microphone, and a type C cable.
It has a 2.5” rotating screen, a small front display to see the video settings, is waterproof up to 12 meters deep, takes micro SD up to 1TB, supports an external microphone with an adapter, and fast charging where 18 minutes fills 80% and 47 minutes 100%.
Of course, it connects to your phone to see what you are shooting, edit your videos, and a bunch of other things.

You can shoot 8K 30fps video while running since it has space-grade stabilization, slow motion 4K 120fps or 1080p 240fps.
You can use it as a dash camera for your car,
Capture pure video for very good image quality even in low light conditions,
You can choose after you shoot the video, which shot you want to keep, horizontal or vertical for social media, and also lock the camera so that even if you shake it, the image does not shake,
Capture timeshift as well as timelapse video,
Make x2 zoom without losing image quality,
Take photos with a 50MP lens, shoot video even in the sea or rain, since it is waterproof up to 12m,
Shoot your vlogs with POV shots,
Use ready-made LUTs from Leica and also record in flat color profile for nicer colors after color grading
