The replacement filter Aquaphor MAXFOR+(H) is specially designed for softening hard water and actively preventing limescale buildup. It is essential for hard water with a high content of hardness salts, such as calcium and magnesium carbonates, calcium sulfate, magnesium sulfate, and other salts.

The filter provides overall protection from a wide range of contaminants that may be present in tap water. It effectively reduces chlorine, heavy metals, iron, pesticides, organic compounds, and other harmful pollutants, while also softening the water. Additionally, it improves taste and removes unpleasant odors from the water.

The MAXFOR+(H) contains the patented ion-exchange fiber technology Aqualen with 33 times larger filtration surface than conventional ion-exchange materials. Combined with ultra-fine fibers and high-density activated carbon filtration materials, it ensures exceptionally high filtration performance. Aqualen irreversibly binds heavy metal ions such as lead, iron, mercury, and radioactive isotopes.

The Maxfor+ filter series is compatible with Aquaphor pitchers: Glass, Lago, Onyx, Jasper, Amethyst, Fresh, Time, and Compact. They are also compatible with pitchers from other brands in the EU, United Kingdom, and USA that use *BRITA® Maxtra+, MaxtraPro, and other similarly shaped oval filters.
