If algae have developed, it is recommended to first treat the algae with a long-lasting algaecide before starting phosphate removal.

1. Clean or set the filter to Backwash operation and ensure that the pool water is balanced.
2. Shake the container well before use.
3. Slowly add the required amount of Starver® X to the pool water just in front of the skimmer inlet.
4. Immediately after adding Starver® X, it is recommended to place a Lo-Chlor Miraclear Clarifier Pool Cube directly into the skimmer basket. Adding a Miraclear Pool Clarifier Cube will reduce the cloudiness caused by phosphate removal.
5. Run the pump and filter for 24 hours. Regularly check the filter pressure and perform Backwash if necessary.
6. Check the phosphate levels in the pool water at least 24 hours after treatment.
7. If needed, reapply the product until phosphate levels reach acceptable levels. For faster results, the dosage of Starver® X can be repeated every 24 hours.

After treatment, regularly monitor the phosphate levels in your pool.
