Still a Child is a rare collection of rhymed poems that beautifully balances not only the serious and funny sides of things but also the wisdom of childhood and adulthood. Themes such as time, fear, school, mistakes, and flaws are presented with disarming honesty, simplicity, and humor.
Waking up in the morning, visiting the dentist, how to train your dog, nightmares, mischief, clouds of sadness—all seem happier and more optimistic when you are still a child! Could anyone wish for something more magical?
The author identifies with the innocent questions and everyday anxieties of children. She tackles all those issues that concern children and is determined to find solutions, even if they are absolutely hilarious!

It is the ideal choice for bedtime reading, as the calmness of the images and the language sets the mood for dreams. It is also an excellent tool for parents and educators who want to talk about how love and joy remain unchanged over time.
Bridge of generations: Helps the child see the parent as someone who once was (and remains at heart) a child.
High aesthetic illustration: Daniela Stamatiadi creates a dreamlike world that "speaks" even without words.
Emotional intelligence: Encourages the acceptance of emotions and the value of the moment.
Timeless message: A book that is not addressed only to children, but serves as a "talisman" for every adult.
Use it as an opportunity to show your children your own old photos, connecting the story with your personal development.
Focus on the details of the images to cultivate observation skills and find "hidden" symbols of childhood on each page.
Discuss: What does "growing up" mean to you? What is your favorite toy that you would like to have even when you turn one hundred years old?
Ask the child: "Do you think that mom or dad sometimes get up to mischief in their hearts? What makes them laugh like children?"
Play/Create: Make a drawing that shows yourself in the future, but holding something you really love today (e.g. a teddy bear or a balloon).
