The “Rokkets” series returns with the Yu-Gi-Oh! Burst Protocol Booster Box, featuring the latest “Forbidden” Quick-Play Spell card: Forbidden Crown!

Depicting the clash of forces above and below, the “Forbidden” series began in 2009. Forbidden Crown is the sixth and features the most effects (so far).

As the saying goes, “Heavy is the head that wears the crown.” The monster targeted by Forbidden Crown is affected by ALL these effects for the rest of the turn:

• Its effects are negated.
• It cannot attack.
• It cannot be destroyed.
• It is unaffected by cards – except its own.
• It cannot be tributed or used as Fusion, Synchro, Xyz, or Link Material.

No player can use monsters in response to the Crown to try to stop it. Since the Crown, like all “Forbidden” Quick-Play cards, can be activated during any turn, it can be used on any monster, friendly or enemy, offensively or defensively, depending on the situation. You can stop the effects of your opponent’s monsters, disrupt their Invoking strategy, or make a monster indestructible while in Attack Position, allowing you to continuously attack it to reduce their Life Points. On the other hand, you can use it on your own monsters to protect them from enemy card attacks, battle destruction, and being used as material by your opponent.

Forbidden Crown is suitable for every occasion!

Darklord Eveningstar returns! Use Darklord Dance to perform Fusion Summoning of Eveningstar (or any DARK Fairy) with materials from your hand, field, or Cemetery. Darklord Eveningstar sets a “Darklord” Spell and Trap from your Deck when summoned and has the usual “Darklord” ability to double the effects of Darklord Spells and Traps in your Cemetery before shuffling them back into your Deck for reuse.

It’s time for a new “Rokket” start! Use the many powerful “Borrel” Link Monsters from Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS to bring in new “Rokket” monsters inspired by Varis’s strategy from the anime! You can also add a new Link-5 “Borrel” Monster to your Extra Deck to accompany your powerful Borrelend Dragon!

Mercurium the Living Quicksilver is a Rank 10 Xyz Monster (Aqua/DARK/ATK 3000/DEF 3000) that attaches a monster from your Deck as material during Xyz Summon. While Mercurium has material, your opponent cannot activate any monster effects in their Cemetery, if you have a monster with the same Attribute in your own Cemetery.

A new World Premiere theme is also coming! Scientists are working in the lab with things that probably would be better left unused.
