The Fallkniven CBNC sharpener is made from cubic boron nitride, an extremely hard synthetic, crystalline material. It offers superior resistance to abrasion and oxidation when in contact with steel alloys, making it ideal for stainless steel knives and cutting tools made of hardened stainless steel.
Even though it is not harder than diamond, it is thermally and chemically more stable than pure diamond. A feature of the CBNC sharpener is that it maintains its shape regardless of its use. This coating covers both sides of the profiled stone.
