The Master Edition combines both CC: Europe and CC: Mediterranean into one package and also includes the new material from the Minor Nations Battle Pack. This edition is the way the game was originally conceived and designed. Combat Commander is a card-driven board game covering tactical infantry combat on the European Front of World War II. One player takes the role of the Axis forces, while the other player commands the Allied forces. These two players will alternate playing one or more “Fate” cards from their hands in order to activate their units on the map for various military operations. Players try to achieve victory by moving their combat units in the game to attack the opponent's units and capture as many objective locations as possible. The extent to which a player succeeds or fails is measured by the scenario’s specific “Objective” markers, the destruction of enemy units, and the exit of friendly units from the opponent’s map edge.
