Description

The SMLIGHT SMHUB Nano MG24 is a compact, Linux-based smart home hub designed for stable, local control without the cloud via onboard applications such as Zigbee2MQTT, Matterbridge, Mosquitto MQTT, Node-RED, WireGuard, and Tailscale. Equipped with a built-in EFR32MG24 radio, it manages Zigbee 3.0 and Thread networks, and enables direct forwarding of Zigbee devices to Google Home or Apple Home (via Zigbee2MQTT + Matterbridge), with no need for a proprietary bridge.

The SMHUB Nano can be easily integrated into existing ecosystems – it can function as a standalone controller, a Matter bridge, or a remote radio coordinator for Home Assistant, openHAB, HomeSeer, and other systems. With Wi-Fi 6 connectivity (2.4/5 GHz), Ethernet (10/100), and USB-C, it offers easy installation and reliable networking. The external Zigbee antenna provides increased range and better signal coverage.

This device is ideal for users who want to free up their home Zigbee/Thread infrastructure (such as Zigbee2MQTT) for improved stability and run everything on a small, silent, expandable hub.

  • Linux-based local applications: Run Zigbee2MQTT, Matterbridge, Mosquitto MQTT, Node-RED, and WireGuard directly on the hub.
  • Zigbee + Thread in one: The EFR32MG24 radio supports Zigbee 3.0 and Thread networks, including Matter integration.
  • Matter bridge function: Forward Zigbee devices to Google Home or Apple Home without proprietary bridges.
  • Flexible operating modes: Works as a standalone hub, Matter bridge, or remote radio coordinator (HA/openHAB/HomeSeer).
  • Modern connectivity: Wi-Fi 6 (2.4/5 GHz), 10/100 Ethernet, USB-C, eMMC, and microSD expansion support.
  • Wide range performance: External Zigbee antenna ~5 dB for better coverage and signal quality.
  • Silent, passive cooling: Fanless design, compact case, can be wall mounted or placed on a desk.

Technical Specifications:

  • Processor: Dual-core (1 GHz + 700 MHz)
  • Memory: 512 MB RAM
  • Storage: 8 GB eMMC + microSD slot (up to 2 TB)
  • Operating System: Linux kernel with modular package support
  • Radio: Silicon Labs EFR32MG24 (Zigbee 3.0, Thread)
  • Wi-Fi: Wi-Fi 6, 2.4/5 GHz
  • Bluetooth: BLE 5.0
  • Antenna: External Zigbee antenna ~5 dB
  • Networking: 1 x RJ45 (10/100 Mbps) Ethernet, Wi-Fi 6 (2.4/5 GHz)
