When the iT32 (sold separately) and the X5O are used together, the X5O can also function as a sync trigger for other Godox flashes. As a transmitter unit combined with the iT32, the X5O is able to control various receiver units of the Godox Wireless X System.

The X5O does not have a physical on/off button but operates via colored status indicators. Users can connect it to the iT32 and check the battery level of the flash trigger. The X5O features a built-in 3.8V 100mAh lithium battery with a charging time of 3 hours and an operating time of about 16 hours from a full charge.
