Before first use, wash it with hot water without detergent or in the dishwasher, then grease it with butter. Do not place it in direct contact with a flame or on an electric stovetop, and do not use it with sharp-edged utensils. When using it in the oven, all cavities must be filled; fill any empty cavities with water.
