They are made of black anodised aluminium, with a flat oval aerodynamic profile and rounded corners. The top T-Track slot accepts compatible accessories with a 20 mm T-system connector, while the underside has a non-slip rubber cover.

The mounting ends have rubber padding at the points of contact with the vehicle and integrated security locks. They also feature a length scale for adjusting their position and sliding protective caps at both ends.
