Definitely for the first 2 hours it's as hot as when I bought it outside because I ask them to put the coffee in the thermos. Also, it doesn't retain any odors inside. Finally, also important for me was that the lid at the mouth can be cleaned and this one disassembles and can be cleaned. It's a bit expensive but it's an investment that's worth it.
