The Menabo Sherman XL roof bars are made of anodised aluminium and fit parallel roof rails with a gap between the rails and the car roof. Their squared oval profile has a rubber, non-slip cover on the underside, while the mounting feet have rubber padding at the points where they contact the vehicle.

The top features a T-track slot for sliding in compatible accessories, such as carrier mounts. The slot is covered by a rubber non-slip strip, and T-bolts are sold separately. The bars feature security locks, protective end caps and a scale on the underside for adjusting the mounting position.
