The cable stripper No S 4-28 from WEICON is ideal for the precise, quick, and safe stripping of all common round cables with a diameter from 4 to 28 mm.
For cables that cannot be easily stripped with circular and longitudinal cuts, the tool offers an additional option – spiral cutting, which facilitates the removal of complex insulation.
The rotating inner blade can be used for circular, longitudinal, and spiral cuts on both soft and hard cable insulation.
The cutting depth can be conveniently and accurately adjusted in 0.1 mm increments from 0 to 3 millimeters with the help of a lock, which prevents damage to deeper layers.
The cutting blade is self-rotating and integrated into the body, allowing quick automatic switching between circular and longitudinal cuts – only during the spiral cut does the blade need to be locked in place.
To perform the spiral cut, the operation switches from circular to spiral cutting via an adjustment wheel.
Then, by toggling the spiral switch, the inner blade is locked in place and the cable stripper is ready for spiral cutting.
To return to circular cutting, the lock must be released using the spiral switch.
The blade will then move freely, allowing circular cutting as usual.
After performing the spiral cut, it is recommended to make a small incision at the edge of the insulation to facilitate its removal.
The tool features a foldable hook blade for this purpose.
The automatic blade safety folds in via a switch and automatically retracts in case of misuse, preventing cutting injuries.
In this way, the use of the blade is much safer compared to fixed blades, such as those found in utility knives.
