The hop Columbus, also known by the names Tomahawk and CTZ, is one of the most popular dual-purpose hops. Thanks to its high levels of alpha acids, it can be used as a primary bittering hop in Pale Ale, IPA, Stout beers, as well as anything imperial.

This hop has an earthy character and spicy aromas, such as herbs, licorice, and pepper, while also containing notes of grass and citrus.
