The continuous alcohol meter, also known as the parrot, is used to measure the alcohol percentage during the distillation process. With this meter, it is possible to accurately monitor the process, allowing the heating to be adjusted at the right moment.

During distillation, the distillate initially flows into the parrot, and from there it drains into the bottle or collection jar. The alcoholmeter can float inside the parrot, facilitating the reading of the alcohol percentage.
