  • Operation: The battery provides electric power to the motor, which spins the rotor at high speed.
  • The gears reduce the rotation speed, allowing the wheels to turn slowly.
  • It turns the two drive wheels and an additional, separate wheel at right angles to the others.
  • The third wheel does not touch the table surface because of the roller.
  • When the robot reaches the edge of the table, the rollers pass over the edge, allowing the third wheel to go beyond the table.
  • The robot turns until the rollers are back on the table.
