The kit will change the appearance of the old regular key. With this kit, you gain the option of the new generation folding Ford keys. The new key is designed to match the car's electronic systems perfectly.

A visit to a locksmith is required to program the new key. The original key cannot be used. You need to insert the transponder (a small black component) into the new casing, otherwise the vehicle's immobilizer system will activate and the car will not start. Also, the new blade must be cut, as the original blade is not compatible.
