An integrated USB Type-C connector at the base of the case allows device charging even when the GDS Dock station is not available. Similar to the original IntelliSkin, these cases continue to provide military-grade drop protection and prevent damage to the device's charging port from constant connection to an integrated GDS connector directly on the case.
