Origin: Produced in Epitalio of Pyrgos Ilia, in Western Peloponnese.
Variety: 100% Koroneiki, which in the region of Ilia produces an exceptionally balanced result.
Characteristics:
- Very low acidity (usually <0.3%).
- Intense fruity aroma and taste reminiscent of freshly picked olives.
Important Information: It has won several gold medals in international competitions (such as the EVO IOOC).
Gourmet Significance: Ilian Olive Oil combines tradition with modern cold-pressing techniques. It is the oil that pleasantly "pinches" the throat, a sign that it is rich in antioxidants.
Fun Fact: Ilia is one of the regions with the oldest tradition in olive cultivation in Greece, due to its fertile soil and climate close to Ancient Olympia.
