The vast body of legislation resulting from the increasing importance of private international law, a branch regulating the foreigners' status in private relations (contracts, torts, family, inheritance, as well as international jurisdiction), led to the idea of a concise code that would contain the fundamental legislations of private international law (national, European, and international), primarily for academic use and not only.

The collection of essential texts "Texts of Private International Law" is not only for academic teaching but also addresses practical needs, for judges as well as for lawyers who increasingly encounter international cases.

The new second edition is updated until Law 5221/2025.
