First time getting Ultraboost.. externally it is very beautiful and looks like a quality shoe. I don't run, I got them only for walking. So, I wore them on a trip where I walked over 15,000 steps every day and they killed me. I didn't expect it. Hard sole, especially at the back. When I took them off at the end of the day, I felt relieved. Luckily, I got them on sale. Maybe they're good for running, I don't know, but for walking, forget it, get something else. Also, while I always wear size 42 in Adidas, this model is a bit wider. Size 41 fit me well. Not recommended. I tried the Hoka Clifton 10 and the difference is obvious and of course I bought them.

After 6 months with minimal use at work and walking, pieces of the sole started coming off on the side and white stuff started showing underneath. Terrible for such an expensive shoe

I have preferred adidas for running for the last 30 years, having tried many but not all brands. I never had a problem and wore them until they wore out. I got these particular shoes 4 months ago and I don't want to wear them for running anymore. Although they have plenty of material and the shock absorption for me, weighing over 90kg, is at a very good level... but... obviously because of the large drop they have, for the first time in my life I experienced the phenomenon of the insoles slipping backwards... they gather towards the heels and my toes in front step into the gap that is created... I have never experienced this with a shoe before and I believe it's because of the drop. So the shoes are now for walking and I'm looking for another pair for running... I was really disappointed... I didn't expect it...

I found them at a very good price from a well-known sports chain and although from what I read I knew it wasn't a good idea, I bought them because I liked their appearance. On the positive side, they are very beautiful and of good quality. However, for daily use with standing and walking, for me who has extra weight, they DO NOT work. They may be good for a marathon (I don't know, I don't run), I wore them for two days walking 4-5 km, my lower back, which is sensitive, bothered me and I could tell it would happen. As others have written, they tire me. They are relatively hard and this energy return they say they have, I didn't feel it at all. The next day with a model from another company, it was a completely different story (comfortable, soft as they should be, and full energy return while walking), even on a longer route with uphills, etc. no discomfort at all.

The truth is that I had the previous model, ultra boost light. Very good shoe, but the drop from the back to the front part was very steep and they were only comfortable for relatively fast running—they really gave you a boost! These are much more comfortable, with more material front and back, so you can wear them every day, all day, but also run if you want, although there are clearly many, many options specifically for running. Go try them on in a store because I used to wear 42 ½ in the previous ones and the 42 ½ in these was huge for me, probably due to the addition of more boost in the front, so I got the 42

A solid choice, the ultraboosts are now noticeably lighter. You can definitely wear them everywhere and they work for everything, as long as we’re not asking for perfection (e.g., in running). They look high-quality and their price has remained at the same levels as the previous generation. Visually, they are among the most beautiful!

Ultraboost 5

An icon returns

An icon returns. The Ultraboost 5 have arrived to boost your energy in every run. Run like never before, with innovative design for greater shock absorption, more comfort, and less weight.

Brand New Boost Midsole

The revolutionary silhouette designed to energize daily running marks the biggest redesign of the franchise since its debut in 2015.

Made for a generation of runners who want to maximize energy, the shoe offers a brand-new Boost midsole and an updated upper.

Ultra Energy

Adidas LIGHTBOOST

LIGHTBOOST is Adidas' Boost shock absorption system that offers the highest energy return with every move.

Light Boost is the new generation of adidas Boost: 30% lighter, for even greater energy return.

More energy

For those seeking more energy from their runs, Adidas designed the Ultraboost 5, which uses a redesigned LIGHT BOOST midsole filled with 9 millimeters more foam under the heel and forefoot, allowing for reduced weight, greater shock absorption, and 2% more energy return in the forefoot compared to the Ultraboost Light 1.

The Boost-filled midsole, which offers higher responsiveness and heel absorption, immediately bounces back to its original shape as the runner's foot hits the ground, allowing them to go further while expending the same amount of energy.

Fit you'll love

PRIMEKNIT upper

The super anatomical PRIMEKNIT upper ensures a perfect fit, while the external heel clip with improved design offers support where it's needed most.

PRIMEKNIT provides adaptability and improved fit in key zones, maximizing breathability where possible, so the foot stays cool with every step.

Support on another level

TORSION SYSTEM and CONTINENTAL outsole

The famous CONTINENTAL rubber outsole offers top-notch traction, while the TORSION system ensures support with every step you take.

More Boost and lighter than ever

"The Ultraboost is a true icon of running and this is our best one yet," says Simon Lockett, Footwear Product Marketing Category Director at adidas.

"82% of people who tried it say they prefer its energy return over their own shoes and 70% say they had more fun while running in it. This has always been the superpower of the Ultraboost, especially now that it has returned with more Boost and lighter weight than ever."

Ultraboost 5 Vs Ultraboost 5X

For the first time, Adidas introduced two versions of its popular series, the Ultraboost 5 and the Ultraboost 5X.

Both models feature a Primeknit upper, Light Boost sole, Torsion System, pre-molded heel clip, and Continental outsole.

The Ultraboost 5X, however, weighs 17 grams less (it does not have the cage on the upper part where the laces tie) and is an ideal choice for runners who prefer a lighter shoe.
