The muffler sleeves are made from stainless steel, titanium, or carbon fiber, while the end caps are made from titanium or carbon fiber. Optional stainless steel or titanium collectors (sold separately) provide an upgrade to a full system when used with an Akrapovic slip-on silencer. Optional stainless steel or titanium connecting pipes (sold separately) can be combined with Akrapovic slip-on silencers.

Additionally, carbon fiber bolt clamps for silencers and heat shields are available for certain models. The performance-oriented catalysts deliver all the sound and efficiency improvements characteristic of Akrapovic exhaust systems, with a metallic honeycomb structure that includes precious metals such as palladium, rhodium, and platinum on its surface. These metals convert toxic carbon monoxide and unburned hydrocarbons in the exhaust gases into non-toxic carbon dioxide and water vapor.

This product is compatible with the Honda CB1000 Hornet standard version without stock exhaust valve.
