The Techstar QDB-5A is a professional tester for automotive devices that combines an oscilloscope, digital multimeter, PWM signal generator, and driver for ignition coils, injectors, stepper motors, and various electronic valves into a single unit. Ideal for auto repair shops and electronics technicians, it allows simulation and testing of most electronically controlled components.

Main Functions:

  • Ignition coil / ignition system test: Drives and tests simple ignition coils, coil clips, or ignition units to check waveform and spark energy.
  • Gasoline and diesel injector test: Supports 12 V injectors for gasoline engines and 12 V / 24 V injectors for diesel, with frequency and pulse width (duty cycle) control.
  • Valve and analog valve driver: Can operate fuel dosing valves, EGR valves, DRV valves, pressure valves, etc., via PWM signal with adjustable duty cycle.
  • Motor and stepper motor control: Drives duty cycle-controlled motors, including urea pump motors, idle stepper motors, and central light motors.
  • PWM / Hall signal generator: Adjustable frequency 1–100 kHz and duty cycle 0–100%, with adjustable load brake, to simulate sensors with duty cycle signals.
