Construction Materials & Upper Design

The upper of the HOKA Bondi 7 features advanced Engineered Mesh, ensuring optimal breathability and keeping the inside of the shoe cool. TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) overlays are strategically placed on the sides, providing additional midfoot support. The heel collar is equipped with soft memory foam, which adapts to the shape of the ankle, preventing friction and ensuring a secure fit.

CMEVA Shock Absorption & Meta-Rocker Geometry

The midsole consists of a thick layer of compressed CMEVA foam running the full length of the foot, delivering HOKA’s highest level of cushioning (Max Cushioning). Early-stage Meta-Rocker technology places the transition point behind the metatarsals, creating a curved sole geometry that helps the foot transition quickly and reduces joint fatigue during extended periods of walking or running.

Outsole & Traction

The outsole is designed with a weight-minimization philosophy, placing durable zonal rubber exclusively in the areas subject to the greatest friction, such as the heel and forefoot. This design provides reliable traction on dry and wet asphalt surfaces while maintaining the shoe’s durability.
