Top specs

  • Type

    NVR

Recorder that uses IP cameras and network connection for video recording and management.

  • Number of Channels

The maximum number of cameras that can be connected to and managed by the recorder

  • Resolution

    4K

The highest resolution available on the market (also known as 8 Megapixels). It offers 4 times more detail than Full HD. This is cinematic quality that allows for maximum possible zoom to recognize critical details, even from a great distance.

  • Incoming Bandwidth

This is the actual processing power of the recorder. It determines how much "load" (data) it can handle simultaneously from all cameras. A high number is necessary for many channels at high 4K resolution.

    • Example 1: You have 4 cameras of 5MP (each requiring ~8 Mbps). A total of ~32 Mbps is required. An NVR with 80 Mbps Incoming Bandwidth is more than enough.
    • Example 2: You have 16 cameras of 4K (each requiring ~12 Mbps). A total of ~192 Mbps is required. An NVR with 160 Mbps is not enough and will "lose" cameras or reduce their quality. Here, you need an NVR with at least 256 Mbps.

    100

  • HDD Slots

The number of internal hard drives (SATA) that can be installed simultaneously in the recorder.

  • Maximum Capacity per Disk

The maximum size (in TB - Terabytes) of the hard drive that the device "recognizes" and supports in each slot.

  • ONVIF

ONVIF is a protocol that allows cameras and recorders from different manufacturers to communicate with each other.

  • Ports

    HDMI

The digital output for video and audio. It is the standard way to connect the recorder to a modern TV or monitor (PC) and view your cameras in high resolution.

    USB

Its main use is to connect a mouse for menu navigation and settings. Additionally, it is used to connect a USB stick (flash drive) in order to export (take a backup of) specific video clips that interest you.

    VGA

An analog video output. Used to connect the recorder to older computer monitors.

  • Video Compression

    H.265

Advanced codec with approximately 50% better compression than H.264 for the same quality. Ideal for 4K and 8K content, supports HDR and UHD, significantly reducing the required bandwidth.

    • The standard supports approximately 30–35 days of continuous recording on a 2TB hard drive

(The values and durations are indicative and based on standard settings. Actual performance may vary depending on resolution, frame rate, scene motion, and hardware.)

Description

Ajax Integrated Video Management

The Ajax NVR HAC (8 channels) serves as the bridge between the Ajax security ecosystem and video surveillance. Designed to provide instant response and top-notch privacy protection, it allows full control of 16 cameras through a single, user-friendly app.

JetSparrow Technology & Decoding

The NVR supports compression standards H.265 and H.264, as well as Ajax's proprietary JetSparrow protocol for fast data transmission and smooth video navigation.

Smart Analysis & AI Detection

The system offers advanced motion and object detection capabilities through AI. The owner can choose in the Ajax app whether the image analysis will be performed by the NVR algorithms or by the camera itself, ensuring 16 channels of smart surveillance.

Visual Alarm Verification

One of the main features of the NVR HAC is the ability to create scenarios. When an Ajax detector is triggered, the NVR automatically displays the corresponding camera stream on the video wall. This allows the operator or owner to perform immediate visual confirmation of the intrusion.

Privacy and Data Security

The recorder features a SmartBracket for easy wall installation, while its internal structure supports a 3.5” hard drive (not included). It includes USB ports for connecting a mouse or keyboard and a 10/100 Mbps Ethernet port for stable networking.
