The strategy board game Arkham Travel Guide invites players to chart tourist routes through the dark streets of Arkham, passing shops filled with strange objects, mysterious portals, and terrifying locations. Players roll dice and choose together which ones to use, determining where to attract tourists and how to plan their routes.
The goal is to create a route with as many tourists and as many different types of attractions as possible, earning victory points. Before the game ends, players face the Ancient One: avoiding terrifying locations and making use of the special abilities of creatures from other worlds determine whether they win rewards or lose tourists. At the end, tourists and attractions in the blocks along each route, personal objectives, and rewards from the Ancient One earn victory points; the player with the most points wins.
